Tunisia has reportedly secured around 27,000 metric tons of animal feed corn through an international tender held on Wednesday, according to European traders.
The purchase price is estimated at $267.09 per ton, including freight, with Ameropa Trading House believed to be the supplier.
The tender covered a single shipment, with delivery timelines varying by origin. Supplies from the Mediterranean region, Eastern Europe or the Black Sea are scheduled between May 15 and 30, while shipments from Western Europe are expected between May 10 and 25. Corn sourced from the United States or Argentina is set for delivery between May 5 and 20.
Traders also noted that a previous Tunisian tender for 25,000 tons of feed corn for May shipment closed without a deal last Friday, despite a lowest offer of $266.65 per ton (C&F), also reportedly from Ameropa.
These figures are based on trader estimates and may be subject to revision.
