Algeria-Tunisia: Framework agreement between tourist land agencies

A framework agreement has been signed in Algiers between the Algerian and Tunisian tourist land agencies to strengthen the exchange of experience and expertise in the management of tourist land, according to APS.

The agreement was co-signed by the Director General of the Agence nationale du foncier touristique (ANFT), Mehnaoui Salim, and his Tunisian counterpart, Fethi Charfi, under the supervision of Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts, Mokhtar Didouche, and his Tunisian counterpart, Mohamed Moez Belhassine.

In a statement to the press at the end of the signing ceremony, the Director General of the ANFT said that the agreement “forms part of the partnership between the two countries in the development of tourism and the management of real estate in tourist development zones”.

According to Mahnaoui, this agreement will enable the Agence nationale du foncier touristique to benefit from Tunisia’s experience in the management of tourist sites and to strengthen its expertise for the benefit of investors.

The Director General of Tunisian Agence Foncière Touristique stressed the importance of signing this agreement, the main aim of which is to exchange know-how and experience in the field of tourism development between the two countries’ tourist land agencies.

Chorfi pointed out that training in the management of tourist resorts is intended to strengthen the capacity of both parties in the management of tourist resorts and the development of tourism, and to lay the foundations for the infrastructure necessary for the implementation of tourism projects.
