One of the main thrusts of the Finance Bill 2025 is the policy of self-sufficiency to maintain balanced public finances by strengthening the State’s own resources through the fight against tax evasion and improving the working mechanisms of the tax and customs departments.
Efforts will focus on reducing the wage bill (in particular by rationalizing recruitment) and controlling administrative expenditure, with particular attention to improving the management of government car fleets, rationalizing energy and water consumption, and optimizing rental expenditure for state structures and missions abroad.
