Monitoring progress of international cooperation projects

Monitoring the progress of international cooperation projects and the implementation of the “Idema” system took centre stage at a working session held on Monday at the headquarters of the Employment and Vocational Training Ministry.

The main international cooperation projects under the “Idema” system, which comprises 26 active projects, were presented at the meeting, according to a ministry press release.

The main difficulties encountered by this system were also addressed, and proposals for resolving these problems and developing the system were discussed.

Employment and Vocational Training Minister Lotfi Dhieb said that the ministry is endeavouring to ensure good governance of programmes and projects carried out as part of international cooperation, in order to target interventions and ensure effectiveness.

In this connection, he pointed out that the ministry had set up the “Idema” information system to provide a scoreboard for international cooperation projects and to prepare for the establishment of a project management, monitoring and evaluation office.

At the end of the working session, it was agreed to draw up an action plan to launch the project monitoring unit (PMO) and to activate the “Idema” system, as well as to update and inventory all international cooperation projects according to the ministry’s intervention fields.
