Radisson Blu takes over management of Libyan hotel LAICO in Tunis

The LAICO Hotel in Tunis, owned by the Libyan African Investment Company, has been sold to the Radisson Blu Hotel, which will take over management.

LAICO’s media department, quoted by the Libya Herald, said it was a “strategic agreement and partnership”. It expects “revenues to double and LAICO shares to increase after this important operation”.

He pointed out that LAICO is still under a European ban on its financial transactions and is unable to benefit from global booking platforms such as Booking.com, Expedia and others.

It is therefore expected that this partnership will overcome all the restrictions imposed on the company and the ban on banking transactions and bookings, the same source added.
