Social Affairs Minister meets a number of his counterparts from several countries in Geneva

On the sidelines of his participation in the 112th session of the International Labour Conference (ILC), held on June 13 and 14 in Geneva, Switzerland, Minister of Social Affairs, Kamel Madouri, held talks with a number of his counterparts from several countries.

These meetings focused on the need to develop cooperation in areas of common interest, particularly labour, professional relations, health, safety at work and social security.

Madouri met with the Syrian Minister of Social Affairs and Labour, the Italian Minister of Labour and Social Policies, the Swiss State Secretary for Labour and the Turkish Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Security, in the presence of the Permanent Representative of Tunisia to the United Nations and specialised institutions in Switzerland, Sabri Bachtobji.

At a meeting to support the Global Coalition for Social Justice, an innovative cooperation initiative launched by the ILO to address social justice deficits and accelerate the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the Sustainable Development Goals and the Decent Work Agenda, Madouri met the Minister of Labour of Namibia and the Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Kenya.

At the end of his participation in the 112th session of the International Labour Conference, the Minister of Social Affairs visited Dar Ettounsi in Geneva on Friday.

He took the opportunity to stress the need to develop a new vision in line with the structural changes and profound transformations undergone by the Tunisian Diaspora.
