Tunisia has regained the preferences of British tourists, especially families, a few months after the lifting of the Foreign Office travel ban.
Tunisia is also selling well and attracting families who account for 44% of bookings to date, Thomas Cook’s 2018 Holiday Report revealed on Monday.
Thomas Cook, one of the largest tour operators in the UK, said the sandy beaches would become “the next winter success” after “strong” sales since the resumption of flights last February.
Thomas Cook Airlines has increased its schedule from three to 11 flights a week for this summer to meet demand after UK travel restrictions to the North African country were lifted in February.
Tunisia has recorded a 790 percent boost in online searches on February 13 when Cook’s first flight made its way back to the country, the report found.
