Tunisia: cumulative tourism receipts decline 61% at end August.

Tunisia’s cumulative tourism receipts have fallen by 61%, at the end of August 2020, to 1.4 billion dinars, from 3.7 billion dinars, during the first eight months of the past year, according to statistics by the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT) released Thursday.

BCT also reported a slight increase in cumulative labor income by 6% to 3.6 billion dinars, compared to the same period in 2019.

As for the budget allocated to cumulative external debt services, it dropped by 15% to 6 billion dinars.

Net foreign exchange reserves amounted to 21.2 billion dinars as of 2 September, the equivalent of 141 days of imports, compared to 17.5 billion dinars at the beginning of September 2019 (99 days of imports).
