Egypt’s state-run construction Arab Contractors has submitted a technical and financial bid to implement projects in Tunisia and Congo, beating those of European rivals, head of African sector Ibrahim Mabrouk said Monday.
He added that the Egyptian company is waiting to receive an official mandate for the two projects within this year.
The projects include a large hospital in Tunisia where the company’s bid beat out around five French companies in addition to an alliance of Tunisian firms, Mabrouk said.
The company has a total overseas business volume of $2 billion for the current period, with plans to expand into other African countries
