The volume of services provided by the social security funds to their members and their families has increased significantly, despite the structural difficulties facing the funds, Minister of Social Affairs, Issam Lahmar, told Mosaïque FM on Tuesday.
He pointed out that the value of the services provided by the social security funds to their members has increased and reached 15,800 million dinars, equivalent to 12% of the gross domestic product, according to his statement at the opening of the technical symposium on innovative methods to extend social security coverage.
The symposium is organized by the International Social Security Association (ISSA) on November 12 and 13 in Tunis, in collaboration with the North Africa Liaison Office in Tunisia and Tunisian partners such as the International Labor Organization and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).
