Tunisia: More than 100,000 visas for Tunisians in 2024 (Guéguen)

The French consulate general in Tunisia had issued more than 100,000 visas to Tunisians in 2024, an increase of 5 to 10% compared to 2023, French ambassador to Tunisia, Anne Guéguen, announced on Mosaïque FM Thursday.

She added that France has opened two new TLS offices in Sfax and Tunis to improve visa services and significantly reduce waiting times.

The ambassador also pointed out that, in addition to the efforts being made to revitalize the ‘pioneering partnership’ between Tunisia and the European Union, Paris and Tunis will play a key role in two major events planned for 2025: ‘The Ecological and Energy Transition Conference, which will be a key Tunisian-French-African event organized to ensure a better response to structural challenges in the energy sector.

The second is the Mediterranean Artificial Intelligence Forum, which will take place in Tunisia in the second half of 2025. This event will enable Tunisia to promote digital technology and support start-ups in this sector,’ she concluded.
