Remittances by Tunisians living abroad reached the equivalent of 2,979 million dinars at the end of the first five months of the current year, according to data from the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT).
This represents an increase of 117 million dinars compared to the 2,862 million dinars recorded last year.
In euro terms, expat remittances at the end of May totaled 882 million euro (average monthly exchange rate for the first three months of the year: 1 euro = 3.3757 dinars).
