Tunisia: SANIMED posts net loss of over 8 million dinars in 2023

SANIMED has published its financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2023, which will be submitted for approval to the Ordinary General Meeting convened to approve the financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2023.

These accounts show a net loss of 8.7 million dinars after a net loss of 9.9 million dinars in 2022.

The company’s sales fell by 30%, from 58.2 million dinars in 2022 to 40.5 million dinars at the end of last December.

Local sales fell by 64% to 18.3 million dinars, while export sales fell by 29% to 22.1 million dinars.

Operating expenses amounted to 44.1 million dinars, compared to 61.8 million dinars in the previous year, a decrease of 29%.

As a result, the operating result was a loss of 3.4 million dinars, compared to a loss of 3.5 million dinars in the previous year.

In addition, net financial expenses increased from 6.4 million dinars in December 2022 to 6 million dinars last December.

The company also carried out a free revaluation of its land on the basis of a valuation made by Chedli Maaoui. This revaluation resulted in a revaluation difference of 17 million dinars, including 2.7 million dinars from the legal revaluation.
