The analysis of data related to mechanical and electronic industries for the first 3 quarters of 2012 reveals a significant decline in the growth rate of exports, compared with the previous year, registering only 3.7% while this rate was 19.4% in 2011, according to CETIME.
The coverage rate of those industries fell from 66.3% in 2011 to 59.5% in 2012.
Another observation: the mechanical and electronic industries are still leading export sectors with 36.7% of all products against 36.9% for the same period of the previous year.
Finally, the majority of exports (89.3%) came from the off-shore regime.
