SOTEMAIL has published its interim financial statements for the six months ended 30 June.
These accounts show a net loss of 7.1 million dinars, compared with 1.8 million dinars in the first half of last year.
SOTEMAIL’s accumulated losses as at June 30, 2024 amounted to 28.1 million dinars (including the loss recorded in the first half of the year).
Revenue for the first half of the current year fell by 35% to 21.1 million dinars from 32.6 million dinars a year earlier.
Operating expenses decreased by 18% from 29.8 million dinars to 24.5 million dinars.
As a result, the operating result for the period was a loss of 3.3 million dinars, compared with an operating profit of 2.8 million dinars in the first half of last year.
On March 19, 2024, SOTEMAIL and the tax authorities agreed on a payment plan of 34.2 million dinars, under which the company benefited from the waiver of penalties amounting to 92 thousand dinars as at December 31, 2023.
