Tunisia: SOTRAPIL increases its turnover by 17% until end of September 2021

The Company of Transport of Hydrocarbons by Pipelines (SOTRAPIL) carried 1,416,013 m3 over the nine months of the current year, against 1,258,987 m3 transported during the same period last year, up 12.5%.

This increase is explained by the rise in quantities transported via the Bizerte-Rades pipeline by 11.5% and those transported via the Jet A1 pipeline by 32%.

In fact, the company’s turnover at the end of last September amounted to 12.2 million dinars, against 10.4 million at the end of September 2020, up 17%.

This growth is explained by the increase in quantities transported, the successive revisions of transport rates by 3% via the Bizerte-Rades pipeline, dated March 11, 2021 and April 20, 2021, and the upward revision of 5% of transport rates via the Jet A1 pipeline from January 1, 2021.

In addition, operating expenses stood at 6.9 million dinars, compared to 7.1 million dinars at the end of September 2020, a decrease of 2.5%.
