In the same context, the ONTT official pointed out that Tunisia had returned to the 2019 indicators in 2023, leading the supervisory authority to consider 2023 as the reference year, after recovering the market share lost as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The Director of Studies at the ONTT also announced that the line ministry was working to attract 10 million tourists by the end of 2024.

He went on to say that 2024 has begun with promising indicators and that the Ministry of Tourism expects it to be the year of repositioning and awakening for the Tunisian tourism sector.
