Tunisia’s national crude oil production stood at 393 kilotons (kt) at the end of April 2026, marking a 7% decline compared to the same period last year, according to the monthly energy report published by the National Observatory of Energy and Mines.
The average daily output fell from 27,330 barrels per day at the end of April 2025 to 25,390 barrels per day at the end of April 2026.
The decline affected most oil fields, including Ashtart (-64%), Ezzaouia (-100%), Gherib (-44%), Franig/Bag/Tarfa (-50%), Adam (-11%), El Borma (-3%), and Halk el Manzel (-2%).
However, some fields recorded increases, notably Sidi Marzoug (+92%), Cercina (+11%), Chergui (+73%), and Nawara (+13%).
According to the Observatory, the Cherouq, Durra, Anaguid East, Jinane, and Benefsej South concessions have been shut down since 23 September 2025 due to maintenance work.
