CMF, ESC Tunis research lab partner to advance financial market research

Tunisia’s Financial Market Council (CMF) has signed a partnership agreement with the Laboratory of Research in Innovative Management, Risk, Accounting and Finance (LARIMRAF), affiliated with the Higher School of Commerce of Tunis (ESC Tunis), to strengthen the contribution of scientific research to the development of the country’s financial market.

According to a statement released by the CMF on Wednesday, the agreement is part of broader efforts to reinforce cooperation between public institutions and establish a framework for scientific and technical collaboration.

The partnership aims to combine the academic expertise of LARIMRAF with the professional experience of the market regulator to support economic, financial, technological and regulatory developments. It also seeks to promote research, training and the exchange of expertise in areas related to Tunisia’s financial market.

The agreement provides for the joint production of research studies, the organization of conferences, seminars, academic workshops and scientific events, as well as the development of applied research projects.

It also includes the implementation of training programs and the involvement of researchers, academics, doctoral students and industry experts in initiatives of mutual interest, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

The CMF said the agreement reflects the shared conviction of both institutions that closer cooperation between academia and financial regulators is essential for producing high-value research, developing skills, fostering innovation and supporting the financial sector’s ongoing transformation, particularly in the areas of corporate governance, risk management, sustainable finance, financial innovation and investor protection.

Through this partnership, the CMF and LARIMRAF reaffirmed their commitment to building a long-term collaboration based on scientific excellence, knowledge sharing and the promotion of applied research, with the goal of creating a more efficient, transparent and resilient financial market while enhancing the international standing of Tunisian universities and national expertise.
