The Angolan head of state, José Eduardo dos Santos, on Wednesday inaugurated a 60-megawatt hydro-electric dam at Gove in the province of Huambo, central Angola, the Angolan News Agency (ANGOP) reported.
The dam, which comprises three turbines of 20 megawatts each, will serve more than 30,000 consumers.
The US$279 million dam was constructed by a Brazilian company, Odebrecht.
