A ministerial working session chaired by Prime Minister Ahmed Hachani was held on Wednesday in the Kasbah to consider the situation of the Société tunisienne du sucre (STS).
It was decided at this meeting to draw up a joint action plan between the Ministries of Industry, Finance and the Economy and the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT) to help the STS obtain the necessary financing and to draw up a strategic plan for restructuring the company and improving its performance in the medium and long term.
Minister of Industry, Mines and Energy Fatma Thabet Chiboub presented a report on the situation of the Société tunisienne du sucre and the solutions proposed to iron out the difficulties encountered.
