Bolt, the leader in shared mobility in Tunisia, has officially announced a substantial investment of 34 million Tunisian dinars since its entry into the Tunisian market.
This investment underscores Bolt’s commitment to providing reliable and efficient transportation solutions while fostering economic growth and job creation across the country.
Since its launch in Tunisia, Bolt has played a key role in transforming the transportation landscape by making mobility more accessible and convenient.
With operations in key cities such as Tunis, Sousse, Sfax, Nabeul, and Monastir, the platform has made transportation services essential for thousands of Tunisians who rely on on-demand transport for their daily commutes, errands, and travel.
The platform has supported over 5,000 drivers in Tunisia, offering them a flexible source of income and opportunities for increased earnings.
A recent survey commissioned by Bolt highlights the impact of on-demand transport services on daily life in Tunisia:

– Over 85% of Tunisians believe that on-demand transport services are an excellent complement to public transportation, providing a reliable alternative when public transport options are limited.
– More than 78% feel that these services have improved their ability to access areas they previously found difficult to reach, enhancing connectivity between cities.
– 82% say it has saved them time on their daily commutes, allowing for greater productivity and flexibility in their routines.
“At Bolt, we are committed to making urban transportation more convenient and efficient for all Tunisians,” said Salima Mekki, General Manager of Bolt Tunisia. “Our ongoing investment reflects our dedication to supporting both passengers and drivers, creating a dynamic shared mobility ecosystem that benefits the entire economy.
We remain focused on innovating our services, expanding accessibility, and promoting sustainable growth in Tunisia’s mobility sector.”
Ms. Mekki added, “While we recognize that there is still much to be done to balance accessibility with reliable earnings for drivers, we are open to working and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure a fair balance.”
As Bolt continues to expand in Tunisia, the company remains focused on leveraging technology to enhance the passenger experience and broaden economic opportunities for drivers.
