Libya Business Council hosts Tunisian delegation to strengthen economic ties

The Libya Business Council (LBC) recently welcomed an official delegation from the Sfax Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIS) of Tunisia at its headquarters in Tripoli.

The delegation was accompanied by several Tunisian companies specializing in the food industry sector, which participated in the Libya Food Exhibition held at the Tripoli International Fair from January 26 to 29.

The meeting focused on exploring ways to enhance cooperation between the LBC and the Sfax Chamber, with an emphasis on leveraging the LBC’s trade platform to foster partnerships between Libyan and Tunisian business leaders.

Discussions also centered on facilitating trade in the food industry sector and addressing administrative and technical challenges faced by investors, aiming to strengthen the economic partnership between the two countries.

During the meeting, the LBC received an invitation from the Sfax Chamber to participate in the 18th edition of the Mediterranean Building Exhibition, MEDIBAT 2025, scheduled to take place from May 21 to 24, 2025, at the Sfax Exhibition Center.

This meeting with the Sfax Chamber aligns with the LBC’s commitment to supporting the private sector and developing regional trade relations to promote economic integration and cooperation between Libya and Tunisia.
