President Kais Saied went to the headquarters of the Ministry of the Interior on Friday evening, where he met with Minister of the Interior Khaled Nouri, Secretary of State for National Security Sofiene Ben Sadok and several security officials, according to a statement issued by the Presidency.
The Head of State stressed the need to redouble efforts to maintain the country’s security in full respect of rights and freedoms.
He also emphasised the need to combat all types of crime and all parties working to inflame the situation, «which are known to be linked to lobbies and corruption networks whose sole aim is to harm Tunisians in their lives by any means and methods.»
The President of the Republic also met a number of citizens to listen to their concerns and aspirations.
