The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Sir Anerood Jugnauth, Prime Minister of the Republic of Mauritius. They discussed the Sustainable Development Goals, transnational maritime security and piracy issues, and the Samoa Pathway as the Small Island Developing States’ (SIDS) contribution to sustainable development. The Secretary-General and the Prime Minister further exchanged views on the critical importance of climate change for SIDS.
