Secretary-General of the Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT), Noureddine Tabboubi, called Sunday to place the year 2022 under the sign of the public school.
Presiding over the conference of the general federation of supervisors and general supervisors, Tabboubi warned against the serious deterioration of the various components of the school as well as the decline in the purchasing power of teachers.
The sector needs real reforms affecting the entire education system, he stressed, calling on various stakeholders to overcome their disagreements and take the necessary actions to prevent the depreciation of public schools.
Quoted in a post published on the organisation’s social media page, Tabboubi made the link between the state of public schools and the proliferation of private schools.
During the meeting, Noureddine Tabboubi highlighted the need to improve the working conditions of supervisors.
