Tunisia: 14,500 jobs created by FDI in 2023

Foreign direct investment (FDI) in Tunisia in 2023 had led to the creation of 14,500 jobs, Jalel Tabib, director general of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (APIE) told Tunisian national radio.

He added that in total, foreign companies or those with foreign shareholding employ 450,000 Tunisians, or about 14 per cent of Tunisia’s working population.

According to the same source, the roadshow in preparation for the Tunisian Investment Forum scheduled for June 12 and 13 showed that many foreign investors are interested in investing in Tunisia, particularly in the automotive components and renewable energy sectors.
