The number of applications received by the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training in the program to finance small and medium enterprises (SMEs) has reached to date 70,000, the ministry said in a statement.
The final list of beneficiaries has not yet been finalized. Counting and selection continues. The use of the grant of 5,000 dinars will be based on objective criteria with particular emphasis on the feasibility of the project and its potential success and sustainability.
The Ministry recalls in this context that the program to finance SMEs is far from being a social assistance, but rather a program designed to help young promoters who have difficulties to finance their projects, with the objective of reducing unemployment.
