For the first time in ten years, there will be a flight to Tunisia from Debrecen International Airport.
Kartago Tours’ charter flight to Monastir on June 4 has put this popular Tunisian destination back on the map of destinations available from Debrecen.
The charter flight will reconnect Debrecen with the popular Tunisian destination after a ten-year break, reports AIRportal.hu.
The flight will operate once a week on Tuesdays during the summer season until September 24.
The first flight was operated by a Smartwings Boeing 737, and the passengers were welcomed by Zsófia Bocsák, CEO of Kartago Tours, Raja Ammar, head of the Tunisian Tourist Board, and Tamás Király, CEO of Debrecen International Airport Kft.
Kartago Tours, a member of the German DERTOUR Group, is offering package tours to the Turkish Riviera and Corfu from Debrecen Airport this summer season, in addition to Monastir.
The tour operator, which focuses on the Eastern Hungary region, is working on making other destinations available from the airport.
