Tunisia: BNA Bank stabilizes its half-year NBI at almost 500 million dinars

At the end of the first half of the current year, BNA Bank achieved net banking income (NBI) of approximately 498 million dinars, compared with 496 million dinars at the end of June 2023, a slight increase of 0.3%.

Income from banking operations amounted to 1,138 million dinars compared to 1,065 million dinars at the end of June 2023, up 6.8%.

Banking operating expenses increased by 71 million dinars, from 569 million dinars to 640 million dinars.

In addition, customer loans outstanding, net of provisions and reserved agios, totaled 13,585 million dinars, compared with 14,013 million dinars at June 30, 2023, a decrease of 3.1%.

Customer deposits increased by 1,687 million dinars between June 2023 and June 2024, an increase of 15.6%.

The portfolio of investment securities went up from 4,734 million dinars to 6,175 million dinars, mainly as a result of subscriptions to the National Loan and the acquisition of Assimilated Treasury Bonds.
