The value of Tunisian olive oil exports doubled at the end of May compared with the same date last year.According to data published Wednesday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS), Tunisian olive oil exports in the first five months of the current year totalled 2,977 million dinars, compared with 1,470 million dinars in the same period last year, an increase of 102%.This performance boosted Tunisia’s agri-food exports, which rose by 53.1% in the first five months of the year.The food balance showed a surplus of 1,581 million dinars at the end of May, compared with a deficit of 485.9 million dinars at the end of May 2023 and 838.1 million dinars at the end of May 2022.
