Tunisia: government expects 10.2 million visitors by 2025

In 2025, the tourism sector is expected to experience a significant growth in terms of overnight stays and tourism revenues of 4%, with an investment volume of 600 million dinars and a growth rate of 5.5%.

According to the State Budget for 2025, the government expects 10.2 million tourists for the whole of next year, generating revenues of around 7.5 billion dinars, compared with 9.88 million tourists and 7.2 billion dinars for 2024.

Of the 10.2 million visitors expected next year, the government estimates that 5.9 million will come from Algeria and Libya, compared with 5.2 million in 2024.

The document stresses that by 2025, the government will allocate a budget of 60 million dinars to consolidate Tunisia’s image, in addition to building 110 accommodation projects with an additional capacity of 1,350 beds and 32 tourist entertainment projects.

Work will also be carried out in the craft sector, including the creation of craft villages in Ezzahra, Nabeul, Zaghouan, Ain Draham, Jendouba, Metouia and Kebili, and the creation of craft design and innovation centers in the governorates of Gafsa and Gabes.
