The economic and social situation in the country and its prospects were discussed Monday at a meeting held at the seat of the Tunisian Confederation of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts (UTICA) between the first vice president of the employers’ organization Hichem Elloumi and an International Monetary Fund (IMF) experts delegation led by Amine Mati, head of mission for Tunisia.
According to a press release of the UTICA, “Both sides evaluated, in this context, the economic indicators of Tunisia during the first five months of 2014, analyzing the results of foreign trade, investment achievements, employment, inflation, exchange rate …
“The meeting was also” an opportunity to discuss the active participation of UTICA in various committees of the national dialogue on the economy, as well as proposals of the private sector on various topics covered in this framework. ”
