Tunisia: IOM launches call for applications for 400 jobs in buildings and infrastructure

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has announced the opening of applications for jobseekers who have graduated from public and private vocational training centers to fill 400 jobs in the construction and infrastructure sectors in Italy.

The recruitment is for 120 jobs in the electrical construction sector and 280 jobs in the infrastructure construction sector for young Tunisian graduates with a BTS, BTP or CAP in construction.

Applications will be accepted until October 22, 2024. The selected candidates will receive training in Italian language and culture, occupational safety and additional technical training before their professional integration in Italy.

This initiative is part of the ‘THAMM +’ program, which aims to improve the skills and professional mobility of Tunisian workers.

The THAMM+ program ‘For a global approach to the governance of migration and labor mobility in North African countries’ aims to improve the employability of workers and create sustainable channels for professional mobility between Tunisia and Italy.

This program is in line with the European Union’s (EU) ‘Partnerships for Talent’ approach and the ‘Skills Mobility Partnership’ model, which promotes regular migration channels that are mutually beneficial for countries of origin, destination and the migrants themselves.

Funded by the European Union, the program aims to increase the employability of young Tunisians and give them access to sustainable jobs in Italy, while developing their professional skills. UIB and
