1,000 projects were financed by the Tunisian Solidarity Bank (French: BTS) in the Islamic banking system, Riadh Hanchi, Head of Management Control Division at the bank told African Manager.
The official said the bank, which has recently endorsed this regime, has achieved the entire route through the procedural guidelines and by installing Sharia committees.
He also recalled that funding for such projects comes as part of a support in the order of $ 50 million granted by the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) to the BTS.
