The Italian employers’ association “Confindustria Assafrica & Mediterraneo” hosted on Tuesday in Rome the meeting “Tunisia: Proximity destination for Italian companies”. The event was organized by the Tunisian Embassy in Rome and the Tunisian Investment Agency (FIPA).
Moderated by Massimo Zaurrini, Director for Africa and Business, the meeting began with speeches by Letizia Pizzi, Director General, Marwen Kabouti, Chargé d’Affaires at the Tunisian Embassy in Italy, and Mourad Fradi, President of the Tunis-Italian Chamber of Commerce.
The technical session of the event illustrated the various investment opportunities in Tunisia, thanks to presentations by the Director of FIPA-Tunisia and the Director of CEPEX in Milan.
The session focused on the Zarzis Business Park, which, thanks to its strategic location, offers numerous advantages for Italian companies, from the region’s important agricultural potential to its efficient infrastructure and road network linking Tunisia to Libya and Algeria.
The meeting was concluded by Francesca Alicata, Senior Relations of “Simest-Spa” and Giuseppe Coliacovo, Vice President of Colacem Spa, the main Italian cement investment in Tunisia.
The meeting made it possible to promote the dynamic investment opportunities in Tunisia to the Italian business community and to consolidate further trade relations between Italy and Tunisia.
