Tunisia: Lloyd Assurances increases profits by 40% to over 9 million dinars in 2022

Société Tunisienne d’Assurances, LLOYD, has published its financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2022, which will be submitted for approval at the Annual General Meeting to be held on June 26, 2023.

Despite a difficult year overall, LLOYD Assurances was able to maintain its growth momentum and close 2022 with a very satisfactory balance sheet, not only in terms of growth and profitability but also, and above all, in terms of strategic projects.

The financial statements show a net profit of 9.2 million dinars, compared with 6.5 million dinars a year earlier, representing growth of around 42%.

Claims paid rose by 24.32% to 78.2 million dinars in 2022, compared with 62.8 million dinars in 2021, while the cost of non-life claims rose by 29.69% compared with 2021 to 96 million dinars.

The cost of life insurance claims has fallen by 90.82% compared with 2021, to just 348 thousand dinars.

Net investments amounted to 189.8 million dinars at December 31, 2022, compared with 222 million dinars at the end of 2021, a decrease of 32.2 million dinars, including 113 million dinars in bonds and fixed-income securities.

Lloyd Tunisien is a multi-branch company that has been operating in the Tunisian market since June 1945. Its aim is to provide the national economy with the cover it needs to cope with the many risks to which people and property are exposed.
