Tunisia: number of strikes down 29.63% in 2015

In an exclusive interview to African Manager, Monday, January 4, 2016, Minister of Social Affairs Ahmed Ammar Youmbai said the number of strikes in the public and private sectors fell by 29.63%, compared with 2014.

Indeed, 255 strikes were recorded in the private sector on a total of 342, i.e. a decrease of 31.27%.

Furthermore, 87 strikes were observed in the public sector, posting a decline of 26.32% in the public service and 23.38 in public enterprises.
