Tunisia: deficit of social funds totals 603.073 MTD in 2015

The deficit of the three social funds reached 603.073 million Tunisian dinars in 2015, said Minister of Social Affairs Ahmed Ammar Youmbai.

He also told African Manager that the deficit of the National Pension and Social Welfare Fund (CNRPS) amounted to 427.918 million dinars against 283.318 million for the National Social Security Fund (CNSS).

The minister, however, noted that the National Health Insurance Fund (CNAM) recorded positive results, the equivalent of 108.318 million dinars in the previous year.

This is due to the good governance conducted by his department as well as all the measures taken to reduce the deficit of CNAM, he said.

Among these measures, he cited the recovery of part of the debts of affiliates who have exceeded the ceiling of reimbursement of their care expenses.
