President of the Tunisian Organization to Inform the Consumer (OTIC), Lotfi Riahi, has described the sales season in Tunisia as a “process of marketing foreign products at exorbitant prices and poor quality.”
In a statement to Mosaïque FM, he pointed out that this trend has been going on in Tunisia for five years and described it as illogical, especially as the products are not of good quality for the price.
He added that the continuation of this practice has the effect of damaging the Tunisian industrial fabric, which has not found its place on the market.
This calls for a pause in order to promote the Tunisian product, on the one hand by reducing imports and on the other hand by refraining from importing any product that is similar to Tunisian products.
