With all the measures taken by the Ministry of Industry, the power production capacity has exceeded the level of 4000 megawatts, largely covering the expected electricity peak during high heat. This was announced Nidhal Ouerfelli, Secretary of State for Mines and Energy.
Speaking at the regular press briefing held on Tuesday at the Kasbah, the official said that the situation is stable, indicating that the electric peak reached 3,270 megawatts until July 15, while forecasts predict a peak of around 3,600 megawatts.
