The average money market rate (MMR) continued to rise in August, although at a slower pace than in the first few months of the year.
Indeed, the MMR for the month of August stands at 7.03% after reaching 7.02% in July and 7.01% in June, according to data from the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT).
The MMR had returned in June above the 7% mark for the first time since March 2020 and this, following the increase in the BCT key rate announced on May 17.
