SOTIPAPIER’s total production reached 13,758 tons, at the end of the first quarter of 2025, compared to 12,788 tons in the same period last year, representing an increase of 8%.
This net increase of 970 tons was mainly due to an increase of 1,875 tons in the production of corrugated base paper, which more than offset a decrease of 905 tons in the production of kraft paper.
Revenues for the first three months of the year amounted to 27.8 million dinars, up 7% from 26 million dinars in the first quarter of 2006.
This performance is mainly due to strong export demand, particularly for corrugated base paper, where sales rose by 18% thanks to increased international volumes.
Despite these good results, SOTIPAPIER continues to operate in a difficult environment. The market for strategic raw materials remains tight, characterized by persistent logistical constraints and high supply costs.
This situation is helping to maintain inflationary pressure on paper prices.
Investments in the first quarter of 2025 amounted to 1.3 million dinars, down significantly from 2.7 million dinars in the same period of the previous year.
This decrease can be explained by a more cautious management of resources in an uncertain economic environment.
SOTIPAPIER’s net debt increased significantly from 30.8 million dinars in the first quarter of 2008 to 49.2 million dinars a year later.
This was mainly due to an increase of 8.3 million dinars in operating loans and an increase in outstanding medium-term loans.
