Tunisian tourism generated revenues of 1.913 billion dinars (€728 million) during the first eight months of the current year, up 22% compared to the same period of 2016, announced the Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts.
In August alone, the sector has generated record revenues of 674 million dinars (€257 million). That performance exceeded the one achieved in August 2010, the reference year.
In terms of arrivals, Tunisia welcomed nearly 4.7 million tourists over the same period, including 1.15 million European tourists and 1.6 million Algerian visitors.
