Tunisia: TUNISAIR sees 25% increase in turnover to 620 million dinars in 2021

National carrier TUNISAIR saw a 10% increase in the number of passengers, which reached 1 million in 2021, against 997,244 in 2020.

As a result, the company’s turnover posted a growth of 25% at the end of the past year to 619 million dinars, against revenues of around 496 million dinars in 2020. Thus, the average revenue per passenger increased from 405 dinars in 2020 to 451 dinars last year.

From the main variable expenses, fuel expenses have increased by 36% to 138 million dinars, while airport fees have virtually stagnated at 209 million dinars.

Moreover, the wage bill fell by 6% to 187 million dinars, compared to 200 million at the end of last December.

As for the workforce, it went from 3,432 employees in 2020 to 3,303 employees at the end of last December, down 129 agents.

In addition, the company’s financial expenses stood at 8.9 million dinars last year, against 11 million in 2020.
