The remuneration expenses of the Tunisian state amounted to 3,357 million dinars, over the first two months of the current year, against 3,345 million a year earlier, a slight growth of 0.4%.
In this regard, the wage bill of civil servants accounts for 60% of state revenue at the end of February and 61% of total expenditure, according to the provisional results of the execution of the state budget at the end of February.
On the other hand, investment expenditure reached only 322 million dinars at the end of February. They represent only 5.8% of total state expenditure.
The budget balance shows a surplus of 46.2 million dinars, at the end of February 2022, against a deficit of 153.1 million in the first two months of 2021.
