The Ministry of Trade and Export Development has announced that this year’s winter sales season will exceptionally begin on Wednesday January 15 instead of February 1.
In a press release, the Ministry said that in order to promote dynamic economic and commercial activities and support consumer purchasing power, the start date of the 2025 winter sales has been exceptionally brought forward.
The sales period will last for six weeks, until the end of February.
The Ministry invites retailers to take an active part in this commercial event, which has lost some of its appeal in recent years due to the rise of online sales via social networks and the growing popularity of second-hand clothes.
It should also be noted that the proposal to amend Law No. 40 of 1998, which partially regulates sales in Tunisia, has not progressed, as the project is still in the Ministry’s drawers.
