Delegate of Dhehiba, Tataouine governorate, Rached Haddad, announced a sharp increase in traffic at the Dhehiba-Wazen border crossing in 2024 compared with 2023.
He pointed out that the number of travelers had reached 1.1 million (618,000 arrivals – 482,000 departures), compared with 688,000 the previous year (417,000 arrivals and 271,000 departures).
The delegate also indicated a 50% increase in commercial traffic, with almost 23,100 lorries passing through in 2023 (12560 arrivals and 10540 departures).
In 2024, the number of lorries will went up to around 55,100 (29,300 arrivals and 25,700 departures), according to Mosaique FM.
