Top 10 Best-Selling Electric Car Brands in Tunisia in 2025

In Tunisia, the official market for electric vehicles recorded 539 registrations in 2025, with Chinese automaker BYD emerging as the best-selling brand of the year.

According to official registration figures recorded throughout the year, 178 BYD electric vehicles were sold in Tunisia in 2025.

The best-selling model was the BYD Atto 3, with 87 registrations, accounting for nearly half of the brand’s sales.

However, BYD’s dominance is not limited to a single model. Two other vehicles from the Chinese manufacturer also ranked in the top five best-selling electric models in Tunisia in 2025.

These were the BYD Tang EV, with a total of 43 registrations, and the BYD Dolphin, with 38 units.

The list continues with Swedish automaker Volvo, which rises to second place in the rankings, with 95 registrations recorded in 2025.

The majority of the brand’s sales rely on a single model: the Volvo EX30, which alone accounts for 87 registrations, thus representing almost all of its volume.

In third place, German automaker Porsche recorded 70 registrations throughout the year. The Porsche Macan Electric overwhelmingly dominates the brand’s sales, with 61 registrations.

The top five is rounded out by BMW, also a German manufacturer, with 30 electric vehicles sold in 2025, closely followed by Audi, which recorded 29 registrations in the Tunisian market.

It is worth noting that the five best-selling brands in the market (BYD, Volvo, Porsche, BMW, and Audi) together account for 402 registrations in 2025.

Other brands also appear in the top 10 best-selling electric vehicles in Tunisia in 2025. The British manufacturer MG6 takes sixth place, with 28 registrations recorded during the year.

The brand’s sales rely almost exclusively on the MG64, which accounts for 26 registrations.

It is followed by the Chinese manufacturer Dongfeng, with 23 registrations, all achieved by the Dongfeng Box, the only model sold by the brand on the Tunisian market in 2025.

Next comes the Chinese manufacturer Geely, which recorded 21 registrations, more than half of which were attributed to the Geely X5.

The South Korean manufacturer KIA ranks next, with 18 electric vehicles sold, primarily driven by the KIA EV6, which recorded 10 registrations.

Finally, the Franco-Italian manufacturer Cenntro rounds out the top 10, with a total of 16 registrations.

The Cenntro Logistar 210 model overwhelmingly dominates the brand’s sales, with 13 units sold.
