Air Liquide Tunisia announces a net profit of 9.5 million dinars in 2019

Air Liquide Tunisie published its financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2019. The major industrial player in the Tunisian economic fabric made a net profit of 9.5 million dinars last year, compared to 10 million dinars a year earlier, down 4%.

However, the company’s revenues have increased by 14% from 32.1 million dinars in 2018 to 36.6 million at the end of last December.

These revenues include the turnover realized on sales of gas and equipment during the year 2019.

The cost of sales increased by 15% to 28.2 million dinars against 24.5 million in 2018. To this end, the company’s gross margin increased by 11.2% to reach 8.4 million dinars, compared to 7.6 million dinars a year earlier.

The operating result shows a growth of 1.3 million dinars, i.e. +33%, to reach 5.3 million dinars against 4 million at the end of December 2018.

Air Liquide Tunisia suffered the consequences of the health crisis in the first quarter of 2020 with a potential impact on its 2020 financial statements.

To date, the company’s General Management considers that the continuity of operations is not at risk.

In addition, given the context and uncertainties, it will be proposed to the General Meeting of Shareholders not to distribute dividends for the 2019 financial year.

On this occasion, the company reminds all its shareholders that this situation does not pose any risk to the company’s ability to continue as a going concern over the next twelve months.
